The picture above and the title pretty much says it all.  Konami has just announced that if you purchase Zone of the Enders HD Collection for the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, then you will get the demo for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Rising. You might be a little confused at the pairing, but both titles are developed by Kojima Productions.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include the 2001 original game Zone of the Enders as well as the 2003 sequel Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner both fully remastered with HD visuals.

So if you absolutely can’t wait until February to get your hands on Metal Gear Rising, this is one avenue that you can take to play it a bit early. Honestly if you haven’t played these classics from the Playstation 2 era, you are missing out and if you are an anime fan you might want to check out the series as well. Zone of the Enders HD Collection hits shelves on October 30th, 2012.

Check out some screenshots provided by Konami for the Zone of the Enders HD Collection below, many of which are from the brand new opening animation as well as up-resed renders of the original opening scenes from the original games.
