Killzone 3 is doing something pretty interesting, and that’s releasing their multiplayer component by itself on PSN.  The download will be available on Tuesday, and it’ll be free to play with a level cap.  Once you hit the cap you can continue playing and leveling up by buying the full version of the multiplayer game for $14.99.

This is a super awesome idea and I wish all FPS games would do something similar.  Sure there are some people who love the one player game, but there are many people who just buy the game for multiplayer and never even touch the campaign.  This is also a great way for people who’ve never played the game to get a taste of the best part, for free!  Hopefully this is highly successful and other companies take notice!
