BioWare is always trying to shake things up, leaving the gaming experience to the user.  They’ve tend to  let you make many choices in your games that alter your gaming experience.  For instance you can be a male or female Shepard, and you can have “romance” with different characters.  Though to this point, on the cover of Mass Effect 1 & 2 Shepard has always been portrayed as man.  Well they’re setting out to let you choose that too, cause with Mass Effect 3 you’ll be able to switch the cover to a female Shepard if you want!

An unboxing video from BioWare showed the new cover, and I gotta say I’m a fan.  I won’t be changing it myself, but just having the option is nice.  The easy solution would have been to not show Shepard at all.  I mean regardless of whether they’re female or male in your game, chances are your Shepard doesn’t like anything like the one on the cover.  Ah well… if you’re going to show a Shepard on the cover at least you give the users a choice!
