At PAX we had the opportunity to chat with Mia Putrino from Sega about Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II. With a tentative release date of May 15th or 16th, Sonic 4:II will be available on XBL, PSN, iOS, Windows Phone 7, Android and PC so you won’t have to worry about not being able to play it on your favourite system.
The game itself plays a lot better than Episode I and you can feel the changes immediately. For many gamers (myself included) Episode I just didn’t “feel right”. Animations weren’t there, the physics were off and the installment seemed more like an “exercise in development” than a full fledged game. Thankfully all signs point to a big turn around in Episode II with the ability to look up and down, “end of the cliff” animations and most notably – Improved physics.
And if that weren’t enough, Sega has also put some nice graphical improvements into the game including Tails with some added gameplay mechanics and they’ll also be providing Metal Sonic bonuses as a thank you to fans for enduring Sonic 4: Episode I their continued loyalty. Interview below!
