The highly successful Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim isn’t on the PlayStation 3, and Sony’s working extremely hard with Bethesda Softworks to change that. Â The DLC launched on the Xbox 360 and PC in August, but the release of it to the PS3 has been riddled with problems. Â Sony’s Adam Boyes told Kotaku a bit about those problems:
“We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems.  We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda—and with all of our partners—to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way.”
“Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can’t promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working.”
Obviously this is a huge issue that both Bethesda and Sony want to get working.  I mean Sony possibly has more to lose here because most people that would buy the game on their system can easily go pick it up on another… but Bethesda should have been able to get this done. I mean they’re one of the top game development companies out there, they should know developing for the PlayStation 3 like the back of their hand.  The system has been out long enough that at this point these problems are almost inexcusable. Hopefully they can get it up and running soon.
