As reported by the Playstation Blog, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that there there will be 50+ characters on the Blu-Ray for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and they will be unlocked from the start.

Even though this is par from the course for Tekken 6 console gamers, it flies in the face of what players from camp Ca$hcom have been used to lately (in that you won’t have to pay to unlock characters already on the disc). Regardless of whether you feel like having to pay to unlock disc characters is a good thing or bad, most at least agree that just having a ton from “jump” is a good thing.

Harada also spoke briefly about the Fight Lab mode which will give players an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Tekken through various minigames as well the change to customize their “Combot” character with moves and costume accessories.

And if you missed it the other day, here’s the new Switch trailer for your viewing pleasure.
